There are only seven days left until the #SavePoint panel in Austin, Texas. We’ve been increasing our advertising efforts, both locally and online, and can’t wait to put on a fantastic panel. We know many of you are very excited and have been asking for some more info, so today we’re going to discuss the panel a bit.
First lets dissolve any confusion about panel attendance. We’ve had a few people who are concerned about the price of a SXSW badge. Let us ease your concern by reminding everyone that the panel will be free and open to the public – A SXSW badge is NOT required to attend. If you’re coming from out of town the only thing you’ll need to worry about are your travel and lodging expenses. Check out SXSW’s “First Timer’s Guide” here.
Second – The panel will last for one hour and will cover a myriad of topics. However the three main topics are: the current social-political climate of the gaming community, the importance of an ethical gaming media, and the future of both the community and the industry as a whole. Toward the end of our hour long session there will be a segment where audience members can ask questions of their own. Please be sure to keep the questions short in order to allow as many attendees as possible to ask questions of their own.
Third – The panel will be filmed and uploaded to our Youtube channel. The HoneyBadgerRadio team have generously offered their time and resources to us and will be there to record the event. You can expect to see footage on the HoneyBadgerRadio Youtube channel plus some bonus extra footage you won’t see anywhere else!
The panel will take place in the Hyatt Regency in Zilker Ballroom 1 at 3:30 PM on March 15th, 2016, and will last until 4:30 PM. If you have any questions about transportation or venue location/directions please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’d like to thank everyone for being so supportive throughout the past several months, but we also want to issue a reminder. The events that transpired back in August put a lot of attention on our panel as well as another panel(that won’t be named). Please be mindful of your surroundings and be respectful of staff, guests, and everyone attending SXSW. We’re here to have a productive discussion about our massive and diverse community and the issues it faces – let’s not muddy the waters with senseless controversy and directionless outrage.
Thank you – and remember to have fun!
