[#SavePoint] FYI: General Information

Hey everyone,

So tomorrow is the big day! It’s been a long road to get here and we are so excited to have the opportunity to speak at SXSW. There are just a few things we want to get out of the way and some confusion we’d like to clear up.

The event is March 15th(tomorrow) at 3:30 PM in the Hyatt Regency – Zilker Ballroom 1. The event is free and open to the public meaning that no badges are required. A “guest pass” isn’t necessary, but it doesn’t hurt to have one on hand. The guest pass is not a physical item. It is digital, and can be acquired on your cell phone. See information here guestpass.sxsw.com.

When you arrive you will be able to park at the Hyatt Regency. Their parking garage has ample space, and is only $4/hr. The parking caps at $23.

There have been a lot of questions in regards to live streaming the event. Unfortunately the event will not be live streamed, however the HoneyBadgerRadio team will be there to record the event. A video will be made available on both the HoneyBadgerRadio, and on The Open Gaming Society YouTube channels. We know that this must be very disappointing for many of you who can’t physically be here, but we hope that you will all watch the coverage once it is posted. We will also have individuals attending the panel who will live tweet as events unfold so stay tuned!

If you plan to attend the panel we ask that you be courteous to your fellow guests and to other SXSW attendees. Please follow SXSW rules and codes of conduct and remember that they have the right to revoke access to the events (not just our panel).

In short – no spittin’, no fightin’, and use coasters.

I'm the Founder of and Editor for the Open Gaming Society. I've played games since the age of 6 and hope to someday make a career of making them. I love this industry with all my heart and want to see it move on to a better place. You can almost always find me buried in some game whether it be The Witcher, GTA, League of Legends, or The Elder Scrolls - I'm always playing something.

I like the idea ‘Think Outside The Box’. Traveling can be very expensive and can limit how long or far you travel. I want to stretch out my travels for as long as possible so have chosen to settle down for a few months in a beautiful city in Bolivia called Sucre. Thanks
